Essential functions
The enquiry form uses a first-party session cookie named nefid_enquiry to protect requests and associate a security token with your session. The security token expires after 30 minutes; the session cookie is normally removed when you close your browser. It is not used to track you across websites.
A local-storage entry named nefid-privacy saves whether you allow the optional CQC widget. These preferences do not contain your message or contact details.
Cloudflare Turnstile loads when you open the enquiry form and processes security signals to prevent automated submissions. Its short-lived verification token is checked by our server. Pre-clearance is disabled; our integration does not request a cf_clearance cookie. This protection is necessary for the online enquiry function and is not an analytics or advertising tool.
Optional external content
The live CQC widget is optional and connects to cqc.org.uk when enabled. CQC controls its own external content and any storage it uses. Our static, linked CQC rating summary remains available if you decline. Directory links, WhatsApp chat and map directions load external websites only when you follow them.
We do not embed maps, advertising pixels, social feeds or analytics by default. There are no analytics or marketing switches to consent to when those tools are not installed.
Change your choice
You can disable optional content at any time. A reload removes an already loaded widget after you withdraw permission. Browser settings can also clear cookies and local storage, although disabling all storage may stop the protected form from working.
